Visits & outings

The Carnaval de Paris, an annual event, takes place this year on the 11th of February! To join the singing and dancing colourful parade, head to Place Gambetta at 13:00. If you miss the initial departure, worry not – the parade makes its way across Paris and arrives at the Place de la République at 20:00! With the theme of ‘poetry, painting and philosophy’ this year, there are options for every member of the family – find your most colourful outfit and join the crowds!

 

 

 

Fred Radix brings his hit show, ‘La Claque’, to the Théâtre de la Gaîté-Montparnasse, diving into the history of applause in the theatre. Acting as a chief of applause deserted by his troupe in an 1895 theatre, he must rescue the play in three hours or face disaster. For those who fancy themselves a cinephile, check out the numerous events hosted by Lost in Frenchlation in February!  In an effort to allow non-natives to enjoy the French silver screen, they host either the latest films or the classics with English subtitles. With a cocktail event before or after each screening, and a variety of other events such as movie-inspired walking tours, comedy nights or film Q&As, this is truly a chance for immersion in French cinema!
