A tribute to the pioneers of Parisian urbanization

The Promenade Pereire is a dedication to the Pereire brothers, Emile and Isaac, who played a central role in the creation of the Auteuil line and the boulevard that surrounds it. In partnership with Haussmann, they worked on the urbanization of the Plaine Monceau, marking the evolution of this Paris neighborhood.

The history of this place is fascinating. The Promenade Pereire was born of the transformation of a railway trench into a magnificent garden. This former Auteuil line, which was inaugurated in 1854 and operated until 1985, was replaced by a branch of RER C in 1988. The covering of this trench in 1986-1987 gave birth to this promenade, giving new life to the former railway infrastructure.

A floral and artistic stroll through the heart of the city

The Promenade Pereire is a veritable work of botanical art. Along the way, you’ll be surrounded by beds of roses, star magnolias, heathers, rhododendrons, camellias, peonies and other flowering plants. Pergolas adorned with clematis, hops, wisteria and honeysuckle add a touch of romance to this peaceful setting.

In addition to its natural splendor, the Promenade Pereire offers play areas for all ages. Facilities include ping-pong tables, swings, climbing structures, a slide, and even a small station with a miniature train, guaranteeing hours of fun for families.

Enjoy art in nature with bronze sculptures created by Boris Lejeune between 1988 and 1990. These sculptures depict enchanting landscapes, from vineyards and fields to rivers, trees and the sea. An artistic immersion in the heart of nature.

The Promenade Pereire is much more than just a park. It’s a tribute to Paris’s railway history, a botanical garden, a play area and an open-air art gallery. Come and lose yourself in this oasis of serenity in the heart of the French capital.
