We have included in the company's statutes a reason for being which reflects our commitments, we are becoming one of the first 1000 mission-driven companies in France and the leading hotel chain.

To achieve this mission, social and environmental objectives have also been defined and included in the statutes:
• Improving environmental performance of our spaces through eco-design, sustainable exploitation of resources and customer awareness;
• Promote a participatory and inclusive social model based on progress, meritocracy, solidarity and development;
• Acting for more virtuous tourism by participating in the development of the territories.

Moving forward together with concrete actions

We believe very strongly in the necessity and usefulness of involving all stakeholders in our approach: employees, suppliers and partners, in a community vision and in order to maximize our positive impact and increase our chances of success.

In our residences

At Edgar Suites, we transform old offices or aging hotels into hotel residences. By restoring value to real estate assets at the end of their cycle, we practice urban recycling and participate in the preservation of the real estate heritage of cities.

On certain projects under construction, we have strict specifications, we encourage and help our stakeholders to comply with reference labels:

• BREEAM : international certification standard for assessing the environmental quality of buildings and their sustainability.

• BBCA (Low Carbon Building) : label that certifies the performance of a building in terms of carbon footprint.

In our existing residences, we have initiated a labeling process in order to have our establishments recognized and certified " Green key », the first eco-label for tourist accommodation and restaurants in France and internationally (Green Key International).

Propose a project

Concretely ? In our Urban Suites:

No single-use plastic,
Energy saving (LED bulb),
Information campaigns for travelers concerning the means at their disposal to sort their waste, reduce their water and energy consumption, and encourage local consumption (equipped kitchen, no catering service),
Reuse (vintage or second-hand furniture) and rrehabilitation of hotel equipment.

In our company

Edgar Suites is in the process of B-corp certification. This international movement brings together more than 5000 companies of all sizes and all sectors in 74 countries, including more than 200 in France. It is a very demanding label which guides us in the implementation of our actions at all levels of the company.

At Edgar Suites, we do not have a team dedicated to CSR because we have chosen to involve all employees in the CSR approach.

To date, here are some actions already implemented:

systematic training of all new employees to eco-gestures and good CSR practices,
a committed HR policy : parity respected at all levels of qualification, benefits such as 100% coverage of employer mutual insurance and maintenance of 100% salary for second parent leave,
4 reference documents to guide our activities:

1) a Charter of commitments and expectations for our suppliers;
2) an internal guide to responsible purchasing for employees;
3) a Purchasing Repository which lists the products referenced by purchasing family;
4) an ethical charter defining good business practices.

Create links with towns and local associations

Contributing to the development of the territory also means forging links with local operators such as town halls and associations, among others. We wish, through our activity, to create local opportunities and to be attentive to needs.

Before starting a real estate project, we invite neighboring condominiums to an information meeting in order to explain our project and respond to any concerns they may have. Beyond explaining the architectural gesture and our efforts to integrate ourselves into neighborhood life, we offer neighbors a promotional code with a 10% reduction on the amount of stays.

Also, we forge partnerships, associations and sponsorship, with other local or national actors. Here are two examples:

We are partners of the association Holidays & Families which offers solutions to promote access to holidays for all and in particular for families. Renewed in 2023, the partnership covers 250 nights for a donation of €38.
In the spring of 2023, we organized a temporary art exhibition in partnership with the town hall of Levallois-Perret and 2 artistic promotion associations in order to enhance an empty office building whose work had not yet started. The partnership involves patronage worth a donation of €35.
